We specialize in cultivating the underlying skills necessary for reading comprehension. We use a robust selection of curriculum and resources to help students develop a strong sense of visualization and imaging which helps organize and access information when reading. This program is for students who don’t seem to comprehend what they have read and/or struggle to think critically about reading material. Sometimes, they may be able to access concrete information but have difficulty synthesizing the abstract. Our staff are trained to teach kids the process of making movies in their head while reading, which allows students to 1. Remember details and 2. Be able to think critically and analyze what they’ve read. The key is to make the application of these skills automatic and relevant in their everyday reading and schoolwork.
