In AP Calculus it’s important to have a strong understanding of the fundamental concepts, such as limits, derivatives, and integrals. To be most successful students need to be familiar with the different techniques for solving optimization problems, as well as applications of calculus to real-world situations, such as related rates and optimization. It is also essential to be comfortable with using technology, such as graphing calculators, to solve problems and interpret results.
The key to success in AP Calculus and on the AP Exam is practice and persistence. Having a tutoring program will provide consistency in reviewing the material, practicing problems, and ensuring the student has a strong understanding of the fundamental concepts. Receiving feedback from a tutor allows a student to develop a deep understanding of the subject and feel confident on exam day.
Our AP Calculusone-on-one tutoring covers advanced topics in calculus, including differential and integral calculus, as well as their applications. A tutoring program for AP Calculus will help students understand the key concepts, work through practice problems, and have a strong understanding of the scoring guidelines so that they can answer each question on the exam thoroughly and accurately.
Reviewing the format of the exam with an instructor and the types of questions that will be asked, will better prepare a student on test day. Our goal is to provide studentswith the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in AP Calculus, maintain a high GPA and reach their full potential.

A practice AP testwill provide our education team with the ability to assess the student’s knowledge, identify areas for improvement, and build an individualized program to maximize their score on the AP Test.
The AP Calculus Exam is 3 hours and 15 minutes. The AP exam will test a student’s understanding of the mathematical concepts covered in the course, as well as their ability to determine the proper formulas and procedures to use to solve problems and communicate their work with the correct notations. The exam includes a multiple-choice section and a free-response section consisting of six questions.
