Tutoring Students to Success and Scoring High on the AP Statistics Exam

AP Statistics introduces students to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data.  It covers the basics of statistics, focusing on one- and two-variable data, and teaches students how to use tables and graphs to represent data, how to calculate and interpret statistics, and how to make predictions based on data.

The key to success in AP Statistics and on the AP Exam is practice and persistence. Having a tutoring program will provide consistency in reviewing the principles of probability, using them for inference, and being able to carry out hypothesis tests.  Working alongside a tutor allows for a deeper understanding of the fundamental concepts so students feel confident on exam day.

AP Statistics Tutoring at Groza Learning Center

AP Statistics tutoring covers the fundamental concepts of statistics, including descriptive and inferential statistics, probability, regression, and analysis of variance. Additionally, students will learn about collecting, organizing, displaying, summarizing, and interpreting data.

Reviewing the format of the exam and the types of questions that will be asked will better prepare a student for test day.  Our goal is to provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in AP Statistics, maintain a high GPA and reach their full potential.

Why Start with an AP Statistics Practice Exam?

Taking a practice AP Statistics test will allow a student to have the experience of taking an AP test and build their test-taking skills and confidence.  A practice AP test will provide our education team with the ability to assess the student’s knowledge, identify areas for improvement, and build an individualized program to maximize their score on the AP Test.

About the AP Statistics Exam

The AP Statistics Exam is 3 hours.  The AP Exam will test a student’s understanding of the mathematical concepts covered in the course, including the ability to use statistical methods and calculate the probability of an outcome. The exam includes a multiple-choice section and a free-response section consisting of six questions.
